Inderal (Propanolol) is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and angina pectoris (chest pain). Inderal (Propanolol) is also used to prevent migraine attacks and to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Inderal side effects, that may go away during treatment, include mild drowsiness; lightheadedness or dizziness; or unusual tiredness or weakness. If Inderal side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience Inderal side effects like difficulty breathing. If you notice other Inderal side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Inderal WARNING: If you have angina or have had heart problems, do not suddenly stop using this medicine without first consulting your doctor otherwise you may experience Inderal side effects. If your doctor decides you should no longer use this medicine, you must stop this medicine gradually according to your doctor's instructions. Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine and cause Inderal side effects. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you are also taking mibefradil or theophylline otherwise it may result in Inderal side effects. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking amiodarone, barbiturates, cimetidine, clonidine, disopyramide, flecainide, indomethacin, insulin, ketanserin, phenothiazines, prazosin, quinidine, verapamil, or medicine for thyroid conditions. Inform your doctor of any other Inderal side effects like allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of asthma or other breathing problems, heart block, heart failure, or other heart rhythm conditions otherwise they may result in Inderal side effects.
