Follow the directions for using Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) provided by your doctor. TO USE Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%), first, wash your hands. Tilt your head back and, with your index finger, pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch. Drop the Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) into the pouch and gently close your eyes. Remove excess Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) around your eye with a clean tissue, being careful not to touch your eye. Wash your hands to remove any Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) that may (Olopatadine 0.25%), do not touch the applicator tip to any surface, including your eye. STORE Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%), use Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose of Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%), skip the missed dose of Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) and go back to your regular Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%) dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses of Patanol (Olopatadine 0.25%)at once..
Patanol side effects that may go away during treatment, include headache, mild stinging or burning, eye pain, dryness of the eye, redness in the eye, or tearing. If Patanol side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other Patanol side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
