Cosopt Opthalmic Drops (Dorzolamide/Timolol) are classified as a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor and beta-blocker combination used to lower (high) eye pressure in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Cosopt side effects that may occur while using COSOPT include blurred vision, eye stinging, burning, tearing, dryness, or discomfort when first applied; or bitter taste in the mouth. If Cosopt side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience Cosopt side effects like irritated eyelids, rash, difficulty breathing, changes in heartbeat, or headache. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience Cosopt side effects like the following side effects or symptoms of toxicity: swelling of hands, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; difficulty swallowing or breathing; or hoarseness. If you notice other Cosopt side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
