Detrol (Tolterodine) medicine is an antimuscarinic agent used to treat overactive bladder. Detrol (Tolterodine) may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Detrol side effects that may occur include dry mouth, headache, indigestion, blurred vision, dry eyes, dizziness, or drowsiness. If Detrol side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Detrol side effects are unlikely but seek immediate medical attention if Detrol side effects occur. Symptoms of Detrol side effects include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other Detrol side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
<br><b>Directions Before using Detrol (Tolterodine)</b><br>
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Detrol (Tolterodine). INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. This includes clarithromycin, cyclosporine, erythromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole, miconazole, or vinblastine. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF Detrol (Tolterodine) IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of urinary retention, untreated narrow angle glaucoma, or gastric retention. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you have a history of controlled narrow angle glaucoma, other stomach/intestinal disorders (e.g., pyloric stenosis), kidney or liver disease.
