Like any medicines, Altace (Ramipril) may have side effects. Some possible side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, light headedness and headaches. Other side effects which are known but are not very common are visual and hearing disturbances, dry cough, tightening of the chest, bronchitis, fever, dry mouth, swollen tongue, loss of appetite, vomiting, stomach pains, diarrhea or constipation, pancreatitis, vasculitis, reduced circulation to the hands and feet, muscle cramps, mood changes, problems with sleeping, sweating, sexual inability in men, and reduced sexual desire. When taking Altace (Ramipril) you may experience other side effects such as skin irritations and hair loss, which may sometimes be severe. If any of these side effects continue or are bothersome contact your doctor as soon as possible. If you notice anything unusual or unexpected after taking Altace (Ramipril) contact your doctor immediately.
Side effects that may occur while you are taking Hydrochlorothiazide include constipation, diarrhea, dizziness or lightheadedness, or nausea. If you experience a decrease in the amount of urine produced, decreased sexual ability, dry mouth, loss of appetite, muscle pain or cramps, muscle weakness, numbness or tingling, restlessness, sore throat or fever, unusual tiredness or weakness, vision changes, or vomiting, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor.
