Recently Allergan, (the manufacturer of Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine)) began promoting a new strength of Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine). They call this medication Alphagan P 0.15%. This strength was developed because the company believes Alphagan P 0.15% may cause less ocular allergies. The newer medication is much more expensive.
Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) Directions: Follow the directions for using Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) provided by your doctor. TO USE Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) first, wash your hands. Tilt your head back and with your index finger, pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch. Drop Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) into the pouch and gently close your eyes. Immediately use your finger to apply pressure to the inside corner of the eye and continue to apply pressure for 1 or 2 minutes after using Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine). Do not blink and keep your eyes closed for 1 or 2 minutes. Remove excess Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine)around your eye with a clean tissue, being careful not to touch your eye. Wash your hands to remove any Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) that may be on them. TO PREVENT GERMS from entering your Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine), do not touch the applicator tip to any surface including your eye. IF YOUR Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) COMES WITH A SPECIAL CAP (C-Cap), follow the directions provided in the patient information leaflet from the manufacturer on how to use Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) properly. STORE Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine), use Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) as soon as possible. If Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose of Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT use 2 doses of Alphagan Eye Drops 0.2% (Brimonidine) at once.
