CADUET (Amlodipine/Atorvastatin) contains both Norvasc (amlodipine besylate) for the treatment of high blood pressure and Lipitor (atorvastatin calcium) for high cholesterol.
The most common Caduet side effects reported by patients were fluid retention, headache, dizziness, abdominal pain and weakness, and were characterized as mild to moderate.
Caduet is contraindicated in patients with Caduet side effects like hypersensitivity to any component of this medication; Caduet is contraindicated in patients with active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevations of serum transaminases; in women during pregnancy and in nursing mothers. With any statin, promptly report muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. This could be a sign of serious Caduet side effects.
CADUET tablets are formulated for oral administration in the following strength combinations:
Caduet (amlodipine dose/atorvastatin dose) availability : Caduet 5mg/10mg, Caduet 5mg/20mg, Caduet 5mg/40mg and Caduet 5mg/80mg. It will also be available in as Caduet (amlodipine/atorvastatin) 10mg/10mg, Caduet 10mg/20mg, Caduet 10mg/40mg, and Caduet 10mg/80mg.
