Entocort EC is used to treat Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s disease is a chronic, episodic, inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract characterized by transmural inflammation and skip lesions. It can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus.
Side effects that may occur while taking this medicine include headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, back pain, upset stomach or gas, changes in menstrual cycle, nervousness, tremor, and trouble sleeping. Some serious side effects that may occur and for which you should consult your doctor as soon as possible are a sudden increase in weight, acne, unusual bruising, swollen ankles or face, change in mood or behavior, confusion, chest pain, vision changes, or severe headache.
