Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used topically to treat a skin condition called actinic keratoses (AK).Actinic Keratoses (AK) is a common pre-cancerous condition caused by overexposure to sunlight.
Skin irritations (e.g., dryness, redness, itching, or scaling) may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Contact your doctor if you experience muscle pain, trouble breathing, swelling, open sores on the skin (ulcers), eye redness or swelling (conjunctivitis), or stomach pain. Do not use any more doses of this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
